Dollhouse

I live in a dollhouse
I have all I need
They keep me inside
So they can’t lose me

They painted the walls
In the colours they like
They didn’t ask
But I guess I don’t mind

They sit me at a table
So I can eat
They tuck me in
When its time to sleep

They leave me alone
Most of the time
The nights can be lonely
But the days are fine

I know they love me
They would never lie
They keep me safe
From the dangers outside

The door doesn’t open
The roof comes off
I’m here when they want me
I wish they would knock

I live in a dollhouse
The furniture’s cracked
My bed has no mattress
And freedom, I lack
